The Philosophia Workshop Weekend consists of two one-day workshops run by Annabel Du Boulay: From Darkness To Light (Saturday) and The Wolf’s Path to Freedom (Sunday).
The workshops are founded on the philosophy explored in Annabel Du Boulay’s historical novel The Serpent’s Tale, which she developed during her recovery from depression and addiction, as well as from the challenging experience of mothering two children born with life-threatening syndromes. She brings with her over sixteen years of personal self-development work through cognitive behavioural therapy and transpersonal regression therapy, as well as extensive experience of working as a transpersonal regression therapist and self-development workshop tutor, both in private practice and for a leading mental health charity with sufferers of severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
During both workshops, Annabel uses a combination of storytelling and self-development exercises, including guided visualisation and creative expression, in order to help participants to understand the philosophy and to reflect on its relevance to their own lives. Participants are encouraged to have read The Serpent’s Tale before attending either workshop as Annabel will use extracts from her novel whilst teaching. To purchase the book, you can order your copy on-line from this website using Paypal, from www.amazon.co.uk, or at any bookshop including Waterstone’s.
From Darkness To Light Workshop (Saturday)
This one day workshop aims to teach participants the philosophy of the Myth of Sophia and how to apply it to their own lives in order to cope with any challenges they may face. The Myth of Sophia is one of the oldest universal myths, which teaches us that darkness is not separate from light, and that it is within the darkest times of our lives, when we experience deep pain, loss and fear, that the light of rebirth can guide us towards greater wisdom, strength, love and compassion. It is a philosophy that helps us to accept and surrender to life’s challenges, trusting in ourselves and in life that every seemingly negative experience is an opportunity for us to heal, learn and grow. If you ever feel anxious, find yourself struggling to cope with life’s challenges, wonder why life always seems to be against you, feel burdened by sadness, fear or guilt, then this workshop will help to transform the way you think and feel. The Wolf’s Path to Freedom Workshop (Sunday)
This one day workshop focusses on helping participants to firstly identify what fears or negative beliefs may be blocking them from moving forward on their life path, and to secondly discover what their life path is and what steps they need to take in order to set themselves free on it. The wolf is the archetypal symbol of the primal power and creative drive that exists within all of us, but which so often becomes imprisoned by our fears, negative beliefs and responsibilities towards others. The wolf teaches us of the importance of setting ourselves free so that we can journey along our path of creative self-expression and fulfilment. If you ever feel lost, empty, like you’re searching but you don’t know what for, bored, resentful, frustrated, angry, frightened of losing control, desperate to break free, think ‘there must be more to life than this’, then this workshop will help to set you free to realise your dreams.Testimonials
